As part of the M&R Finance Data & Analytics team, this position supports our Government Program Pharmacy partners in making formulary, clinical, and operational decisions by providing meaningful analytics and reporting. The position serves as a subject matter expert in pharmacy and medical claims data and a consultant in meeting complex analytical needs.

If you are located in MN, you will have the flexibility to work remotely, as well as work in the office as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Query pharmacy and medical claims/eligibility data from various UHG data sources
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define requirements, pull and analyze claims data, and communicate results
  • Build financial models to measure impact of formulary changes and support clinical and operational decision making
  • Identify and solve complex analytical issues
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of pharmacy and/or healthcare experience
  • 1+ years of pharmacy data analytics and financial modeling experience
  • 1+ years of coding in SAS/SQL and working with MS Excel
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Proven excellent storytelling and communication skills

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is $59,500 to $116,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
