The Risk Adjustment Data Analyst at University Health plays a vital role in supporting the organization’s Risk Adjustment program. This position involves analyzing healthcare data, generating detailed reports, retrieving medical records, and monitoring performance metrics to optimize risk adjustment outcomes. The analyst will collaborate closely with internal departments, provider networks, and external vendors to ensure the accurate and timely collection and analysis of risk adjustment data. Utilizing advanced health informatics and analytics tools, the role aims to identify trends, support Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) capture, and enhance overall compliance with CMS regulations. The successful candidate will assist with medical record retrieval initiatives, perform data validation, analyze provider performance, and contribute to regulatory reporting, ensuring organizational goals are met efficiently and accurately.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in a related field such as health information management, healthcare administration, or data analytics. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare data analysis and medical record retrieval is required. Prior experience in Risk Adjustment, managed care, health plan operations, or healthcare analytics is highly preferred. Candidates should have a good understanding of healthcare data, electronic health records (EHRs), and the medical record retrieval process. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, along with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. The ability to work effectively with providers, vendors, and cross-functional teams is crucial for success in this role.
