Job summary

Verse Medical is hiring a Data Analyst to turn data into decisions. You will partner with leaders to build metrics, dashboards, and analyses that influence how the business operates. You’ll translate ambiguous questions into defensible analytics assets with high ownership and impact.

You will automate reporting, surface insights, and build models for risk, classification, and cost-of-care scoring in a healthcare data context.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, BI, or analytics engineering with end-to-end ownership of reporting.
• Strong SQL and Python skills for analysis, automation, and lightweight modeling.
• Experience building dashboards and driving adoption (Metabase/Looker/Tableau/PowerBI).
• Experience developing metrics, scoring/classification models to solve business problems.
• Ability to perform exploratory analysis on ambiguous questions and communicate findings clearly.
• Proactive communicator with stakeholders; familiarity with dbt modeling and Snowflake preferred.
• Healthcare or regulated data familiarity (HIPAA) preferred; collaboration with engineers a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales, Ops, Product, and Leadership to define metrics and standardize reporting.
• Automate recurring reporting and data-quality checks using Python/SQL.

We're hiring a Data Analyst to turn Verse's data into decisions.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where you'll partner directly with functional leaders to build the metrics, dashboards, and analyses that drive how the business operates. Not only are you offering the "what," but also the "why" and the "what now," translating messy, ambiguous business questions into clear, defensible, self-serve analytical assets. What You'll Achieve: A Glimpse into Your Contributions

• Spearhead end-to-end analytics across business domains.
• Understand trends in operational and customer data to influence how teams prioritize their own roadmaps
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Ops, Product, Leadership) to define new metrics, standardize reporting, and surface insights proactively.
• Automate recurring reporting and manual data-quality checks using Python and SQL, reducing turnaround time on regular audits and deliverables.
• Design and build algorithms/models (e.g., scoring, classification, similarity, or risk-adjustment models) that solve specific business problems, from provider mapping to fraud detection to cost-of-care scoring.

What You'll Bring: The Skills and Experience You'll Leverage

Core Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics engineering, with experience owning reporting and metrics end-to-end.
• Strong experience writing SQL and Python for analysis, automation, and lightweight modeling
• Experience building and driving adoption of dashboards (Metabase, Looker Tableau, PowerBI, or similar)
• Experience developing custom metrics, scoring algorithms, or classification models to solve specific business problems.
• Experience performing exploratory analysis with minimal direction on ambiguous, open-ended business questions
• Proactive communicator with experience working with stakeholders
• Preferred : Experience with dbt modeling.
• Preferred : Experience with Snowflake.
• Preferred : Familiarity with healthcare or other regulated data (HIPAA compliance).
• Preferred: Experience working closely with engineers to triage and resolve issues.
