Responsibilities

As a Data Programmer in the Casualty Analytics Group, you will play a crucial role in building and supporting the foundation of Enlyte's data-driven decision-making process. Your responsibilities will include enhancing our central databases, supporting insurance claim data analysis, and developing solutions to communicate and monitor results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks using SQL and Python
  • Collaborate with business teams to implement new data features, promote adoption of central databases, and drive company-wide insights
  • Analyze insurance claim data using advanced techniques such as predictive modeling and machine learning
  • Design and develop tools, metrics, and dashboards for data visualization and insights
  • Implement technical solutions to address business challenges
  • Utilize dashboarding tools to effectively communicate and monitor results


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related discipline

  • 0-1 years of experience with SQL and Python for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, database management, and ETL practices
  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable solutions (e.g., efficient algorithms, optimized database queries, code for large datasets)
  • Enthusiasm for staying current with the latest trends and advancements in data analytics

Preferred Skills:

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related discipline
  • Experience with analytics platforms like Hex
  • Familiarity with big data technologies such as Snowflake
  • Knowledge of the workers' compensation insurance industry
