Job summary

L&S Mechanical is seeking a Data Analyst to transform how the company uses data for decision making. You will collaborate across teams to identify pain points, develop reporting and analytical tools, and turn prototypes into sustainable solutions that deliver long-term value.

You will work with management to develop dashboards, automate reporting, and define KPIs, with a focus on Power BI, SQL, and Excel. The role reports to the COO and supports data-driven decisions in a hybrid in-office/remote

Job Summary

The Data Analyst at L&S Mechanical plays a key role in transforming how the company uses data to make decisions. This person will work alongside teams across the organization to understand how they operate, identify pain points, and uncover opportunities to improve visibility and efficiency through data. The Data Analyst will explore available data, build and test reporting and analytical solutions, and turn successful prototypes into sustainable tools that deliver long‑term value to the business. This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

General Responsibilities

• Work directly with managers and departments to understand business challenges, identify pain points, and uncover opportunities for reporting and analytical solutions.
• Collaborate with teams to brainstorm, prototype, and refine reports, dashboards, and analytical tools.
• Develop automated reporting and forecasting tools that consolidate and eliminate manual reporting.
• Create standard and ad‑hoc reports to meet business needs.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and Power BI solutions that turn company data into actionable reporting, analytics, and performance insights.
• Design, test, and refine Power BI reports and dashboards to ensure accuracy, usability, and business value.
• Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and meaningful comparisons.
• Define metrics and key performance indicators that help leaders make informed decisions.
• Partner with IT team members to ensure reporting and analytics solutions are reliable, maintainable, and aligned with technical standards and best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Arrangement

This is a hybrid position, with time split between in‑office and remote work. Candidates must be willing to work on‑site as needed.
