Job description

We are hiring a Data Analyst/Developer to join our team. In this role, you'll troubleshoot data variances and failures, identify root causes, and deliver solutions to correct data. You'll also help build out our Data Quality Framework — including machine learning techniques based on pattern recognition — and develop widgets to automate manual tasks and improve team productivity.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze complex requirements by reading Source-to-Target Mapping documents (STTMs) and apply that knowledge to troubleshoot failures in production
  • Propose and implement solutions to resolve identified issues
  • Write scripts to correct data, coordinating with technical team members to ensure changes are delivered to production
  • Verify and certify data accuracy after corrections are implemented
  • Partner with systems analysts and tech leads to articulate technology solutions, integrating process, business rules, and data to meet business needs
  • Apply a data-driven, results-oriented approach to quickly analyze data and make decisions that drive performance
  • Maintain a strong understanding of data lineage and source-to-target mapping, documenting data elements accurately
  • Lead meetings and presentations to share findings and ideas
  • Document and communicate results of data and business requirements clearly
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members and management, managing competing priorities
  • Work independently with minimal supervision

What You'll Need

Experience & Education

  • 8+ years of Business/Data Analysis experience
  • Bachelor's degree required

Technical Skills

  • Advanced SQL and Excel skills (SQL on Oracle preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Data Warehouse/Data Mart concepts
  • Experience using Toad and comparing data across multiple data sources
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile methodology
  • Strong Python experience — able to develop, test, and operationalize ML-based or automation solutions from hypothesis through production deployment
  • Experience applying machine learning and statistical techniques to data analysis and data quality use cases (e.g., anomaly detection, unusual pattern identification)

Soft Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with excellent time-management skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders on high-visibility projects
