Job summary

IDR, Inc. in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Data Analyst to join a top client on a long-term basis. You will develop business requirements and work with stakeholders to ensure data solutions meet business needs using Databricks, PySpark, and Power BI.

You will collaborate with a technical lead and participate in design discussions with the development team. Ideal candidates have 5+ years experience with Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, and data visualization, plus data mapping and requirements

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Databricks and PySpark for data analysis and transformation.
• 5+ years advanced Spark SQL, writing efficient, complex queries on large datasets in Databricks.
• 5+ years data visualization and dashboarding in Power BI and Databricks native visualization tools.
• 5+ years data mapping and modeling to integrate and transform data.
• 5+ years gathering and developing business requirements with stakeholders.

Position Overview for the Data Analyst:

• The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with Databricks (PySpark) and visualization tools, including both Databricks native tools and Power BI. In this role, you will be responsible for developing business requirements, supporting change management documentation, and actively collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment between data solutions and business needs. You will work closely with a technical lead and participate in design discussions and planning with the broader development team.

Required Skills for the Data Analyst:
