Job summary

CapTech Consulting is seeking a data professional to partner with clients and stakeholders, turning business needs into actionable data outcomes. You’ll work through requirements, data modeling, governance, quality analysis, and deliver insights using modern analytics and visualization.

You’ll collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Architects, Data Scientists, and Product Owners on project work in an Agile environment, with hybrid/remote options and strong learning opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Agile development with requirements definition and testing.
  • Statistics knowledge and experience using statistical languages and packages for analyzing large datasets.
  • Demonstrable experience designing data models and supporting database development, including data profiling and data analysis tools.
  • Demonstrable experience with ETL/ELT, data ingestion, and data munging or wrangling.
  • Ability to explain concepts to both business and technical audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Quantify ambiguous business problems by analyzing business processes, data, and systems, and gathering data requirements from clients.
  • Apply data governance best practices by capturing data definitions, identifying data stewards, and mapping transformations from source to target.
  • Build data collection systems by implementing databases and analytics that optimize efficiency.
  • Perform data quality analysis and recommend quality assurance processes to improve data health.
  • Interpret results using statistical techniques to produce insights that guide business decision making.
  • Create reports with modern data visualization tools and best practices to help end-users access meaningful findings.
  • Communicate clearly with executives, data modelers, application developers, business users, and customers to build solutions and interpret results.
  • Collaborate with other data workstreams including Data Engineers, Data Architects, Data Scientists, and Product Owners on project work.

Location: Philadelphia, PA (hybrid).
