Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field.
  • 2+ years of experience conducting statistical analyses.
  • Experience cleaning, validating, and managing large datasets.
  • Ability to apply appropriate statistical methods to research questions.
  • Proficiency in SAS, R, SPSS or similar tools.
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivots, formulas, macros, VBA.
  • Strong ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, interpret, and report findings from datasets of varying size and complexity.
  • Clean, validate, and prepare datasets for analysis.
  • Produce recurring reports and analyses and identify automation opportunities.
  • Document analytical methods, data management procedures, and QA processes.
  • Select appropriate analytical methods based on research questions and data.
  • Conduct regression, correlation, predictive modeling, and significance testing.
  • Create tables, charts, dashboards, and other data visualizations.
  • Prepare professional reports and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Develop data protocols to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reproducibility.
  • Perform data quality checks and validation to ensure integrity.
  • Collaborate with clients and staff to convey findings practically.
  • Manage multiple projects and respond to competing priorities.
  • Explore efficiency improvements through automation and responsible AI use.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Research Methods, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Educational Research, or a related quantitative field.
  • Two or more years of experience conducting statistical analyses, preferably in education, social science, public policy, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience cleaning, validating, and managing large, complex datasets.
  • Ability to independently determine and apply appropriate statistical methods to answer research questions.
  • Proficiency in SAS, R, SPSS, or another statistical programming language.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, macros, and VBA.
  • Experience with Python is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience preparing professional reports and data visualizations for a variety of audiences is desirable.
  • Commitment to data quality, accuracy, and reproducible analyses.
