CFA Institute is seeking a Data Analyst to transform SQL, Python, and Excel-based data into trusted insights. You will clean, prepare, and document structured datasets and build foundational visualizations to support decision making across the organization.
You’ll work under the Director, Enterprise Data Analytics, applying standard methods to deliver accurate analyses, while gaining hands-on experience and professional growth in a global setting.

If you enjoy working directly with datasets—cleaning, preparing, validating, and transforming data into trusted insights—this is an opportunity to build your capabilities while contributing to decisions across a global organization. The Data Analyst supports CFA Institute’s Enterprise Data Analytics team by cleaning, preparing, and documenting structured datasets, and by building foundational visualizations, dashboards, and reports. Working under the guidance of the Director, Enterprise Data Analytics, the Data Analyst applies established methods and standard tools, such as Excel, SQL, and Python, to deliver accurate and timely analyses that support business decisions across the organization. The Data Analyst executes predefined data analysis tasks, runs statistical analyses, and conducts quality assurance on reports and data pipelines. The role investigates known data issues using standard troubleshooting steps. This position is eligible for remote work within select approved U.S. locations. Candidates must reside in one of the locations identified in the job posting.
In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, we are providing the anticipated base salary range for this position: $70,000–$100,000 per year. The actual base salary offered will be determined based on relevant factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, qualifications, and geographic location.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus, a 12% employer contribution to a 401(k) plan, and a comprehensive medical benefits package.
