SunnyFuture Career Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support strategic decision-making through analytics, reporting, and visualization. This onsite role in New York, NY focuses on turning complex data into actionable insights while partnering with stakeholders across departments to deliver tailored solutions.
The Data Analyst will work across the analytics lifecycle, from data preparation and database querying to dashboard development and ongoing documentation. The position emphasizes interactive reporting using leading BI platforms, collaboration on requirements, and contributions to analytics initiatives following Agile and SDLC standards.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets using SQL databases, ETL processes, and data analysis tools to maintain data integrity and accuracy.
- Build interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other reporting tools to visualize key metrics.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver tailored analytics solutions.
- Perform database design and query management to optimize data retrieval within SQL Server, Oracle, or other SQL database systems.
- Conduct requirements analysis and support software development lifecycle analysis for data-driven projects using Agile methodologies.
- Develop data models and implement linked data strategies to improve data integration across platforms.
- Use programming languages including Python, R, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), and Talend for automation, advanced analytics, and data processing tasks.
- Support business intelligence initiatives by creating dashboards, visualizations, and reports that enable strategic insights.
- Participate in project management activities for analytics initiatives to help ensure timely delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of analytics processes using tools such as Visio and ensure adherence to SDLC standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience with SQL query management, database design, and working with SQL databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
- Strong proficiency in data visualization tools, including Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Hands‑on experience with ETL processes and tools such as Talend (or comparable platforms) for data integration.
- Programming skills in Python, R, VBA, or Bash (Unix shell) for automation and advanced analytics.
- Knowledge of business intelligence concepts plus an understanding of software development lifecycle analysis in an Agile environment.
- Familiarity with linked data concepts and technical capability to create connected data ecosystems.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets into clear business insights.
- Strong project management capabilities, including requirements analysis and dashboard development experience.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and clearly present findings through reports and visualizations.
