Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in business analytics, BI, data science, statistics, economics, math, CS or data visualization.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical ability for program assessments and process improvements.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly, orally and in writing for diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of business analytics domains (budget, contracting, IT, cybersecurity).
• Experience providing technical advice on data analytics, automation, or business process improvement initiatives.
• Experience organizing, maintaining, and retrieving structured and unstructured data for analysis and decision making.
• Experience preparing written products, dashboards, visualizations, and briefing materials communicating analytic findings.
• Experience analyzing data to identify patterns, trends, relations, and anomalies for assessments.
• Experience architecting, developing, and maintaining analytic solutions.
• Ability to leverage multiple data management tools to organize information and make decisions.

The Intelligence Community Office of the Inspector General is searching for exceptional candidates to join us in fulfilling our mission to identify and prevent fraud, waste, abuse, and misconduct across the 18 elements of the Intelligence Community. We uphold the integrity of the IC and amplify its impact through independent oversight that demands accountability and drives excellence. IC OIG has four offices: Legal Counsel, Audits & Inspections, Investigations & Intake, and Strategy & Support. This is an excepted service GS-13 position open to the public and all current federal employees at the GS-13 and one level below. Current federal employees at the GS-13 and one level below may apply to this position, and if selected will maintain pay set at their current grade and step. Current federal employees at grade levels GS-11 and below are not eligible for this position and their application will not be forwarded to the hiring manager. All current federal employees that apply for this position must submit their most recent SF-50, Notification of Personal Action (i.e., dated within the last 52 weeks from the closing date of this vacancy announcement) to verify their status of eligibility.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in business analytics, business intelligence, or closely related disciplines, such as data science, statistics, economics, business, mathematics, computer science, or data visualization.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability and critical thinking skills including the ability to conduct program and management assessments, identify needs and requirements, and develop process improvement recommendations for implementation.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely, both orally, and in writing, and tailor products to meet the needs of audiences with different perspectives and objectives.
• Knowledge of processes and data related to one or more business analytics domains, such as budget, contracting, information technology or cybersecurity.
• Experience providing technical advice or subject-matter expertise on data analytics, automation, program evaluation or business process improvement initiatives.
• Experience organizing, maintaining, and retrieving structured and unstructured data to support analysis, reporting requirements, and evidence-based decision-making.
• Experience preparing, revising, or contributing to written products, dashboards, visualizations, and briefing materials that communicate analytical findings to stakeholders.
• Experience analyzing data to identify patterns, trends, relations, and anomalies that support program, policy, research or operational assessments.
• Experience architecting, developing, and maintaining analytic solutions.
• Ability to leverage multiple data management tools to organize relevant information and make decisions.
• Ability to translate complex, technical findings into an easily understood narrative (i.e. tell story with data).

Desired Requirements:

• Prior experience in data engineering, data science, data architecture, database technologies, or search technologies.
• Understanding of data science concepts, AI/ML, automation, and scripting.
• Experience working in cloud environments or modern data platforms.
• Understanding of Inspector General oversight roles and responsibilities.
