Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Data Analyst to support CMS-related data initiatives within a collaborative project team. You will participate in design sessions, report progress, and help identify risks and issues while shaping data-driven decisions.

You will analyze and interpret large, complex data sets, validate data for regular and ad hoc requests, and guide Development and O&M database engineers. Proficiency with Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, Tableau is required.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in development and implementation of large, complex, data-centric systems.
• 3 years of experience using data management and visualization tools (SQL, Tableau, Qlik, R, Python, SAS Viya, Power BI).
• Ability to define and document testing criteria and scenarios.
• Analytical skills to compare and reconcile expected vs. real test results.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; need to communicate with technical teams.
• Must obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years.

• Will participate in design sessions, report on project progress, and identify potential risks and issues.


• Responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data sets and queries to assist in decision-making.


• The analyst will have experience with data validation to support regular and ad hoc data requests.


• Provides guidance for Development and O&M database engineers.


• Streamlines internal processes focusing on organization support using tools like Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, and Tableau.


• Works as part of a project team to determine project requirements, goals, implementation, and schedules.
