Qualifications

This entry-level position supports reporting, data analysis, and business intelligence initiatives using SQL, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI. The role is based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area with hybrid work in Irving, TX 75038.

Role Overview

As a Data Analyst at Upen Group Inc, you will help extract and validate data, produce dashboards and reports, and support recurring and ad-hoc requests. You will also assist internal teams involved in vendor and client projects while contributing to data-driven recommendations to improve business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and maintain basic SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate data
• Clean, format, and validate datasets using Microsoft Excel
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools
• Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and data quality issues
• Support recurring reporting cycles and respond to ad-hoc business data requests
• Document reporting processes, metrics, and data definitions
• Collaborate with internal teams supporting vendor and client projects
• Assist with data-driven recommendations aimed at improving business operations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
• Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools
• Understanding of basic data concepts such as reporting, KPIs, and data quality
