Idaho National Laboratory in Idaho Falls is seeking a data analytics professional for a contract role focused on Federal government reporting needs. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in data analytics (or science/mathematics) and at least 4 years of analytics experience.

Strong Excel, Access, SQL, and Power BI skills are essential. You will collect, organize, clean, and analyze data, build dashboards, produce recurring and ad-hoc reports, and automate reporting tasks while ensuring data

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in data analytics or a science/mathematics degree with 4+ years of data analytics experience
Strong Microsoft Excel and Access skills
Experience writing and working with SQL queries
Comfort working with large datasets and strong attention to detail

Support federal government reporting needs at Idaho National Laboratory in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Job type: Contract
Location: Idaho Falls, ID (onsite, in person)
Salary: $70,000 - $150,000 per year
Experience: 4+ years (contract role)
Citizenship: U.S. Citizen required

Responsibilities

Collect, organize, clean, and analyze business data
Build and maintain Excel spreadsheets, reports, and dashboards
Use SQL to query, extract, and analyze data from databases
Produce recurring and ad-hoc reports for management
Spot trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities within company data
Combine data from multiple sources into clear, usable reports
Improve existing spreadsheets and reporting processes
Automate repetitive reporting and data-processing tasks where possible
Verify data accuracy and troubleshoot discrepancies
Partner with management and other departments to understand reporting and data needs

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in data analytics
Or Bachelor’s degree in science or mathematics plus at least 4 years of applicable data analytics experience
Strong Microsoft Excel and Access skills
Experience writing and working with SQL queries
Comfort working with large datasets
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to organize and interpret data
Good problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical audiences
