Position: Data Analyst

Location: Remote (U.S.-based only)

Type: Contract | 12 months with possible extension

Start Date: July 7, 2025

Pay Rate: Up to $48/hour DOE

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week | Flexible hours (any U.S. time zone)

HotFoot Recruiters is seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst for a fully remote contract position supporting business insights and strategic decision-making. You’ll work alongside a collaborative team of analysts and a team lead to support dashboard development, performance analysis, and data-driven recommendations around operational capacity.

This role is ideal for a business-facing data professional with strong SQL, R, and data warehousing experience, especially those who bring a background in social science research or analytics in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure alignment and delivery of analytics tools.
• Analyze business data and create actionable insights to improve operational capacity and branch planning.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to define business questions and develop relevant data solutions.
• Design and implement data schemas, pipelines, transformations, and integrations.
• Conduct research and statistical analysis to support insights, trends, and forecasting.
• Translate complex technical findings into business-friendly presentations and reports.
• Ensure data quality and implement solutions for metadata, privacy, and compliance.
• Develop and maintain dashboards using visualization tools.
  
  

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing large datasets and relational databases.
• Experience in data warehousing and business intelligence environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or analytical field or equivalent work experience.
• Familiar with data privacy, metadata management, and governance frameworks.
• Experience using visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Spotfire, or SAS.
• Advanced SQL skills and proficiency in R; other languages like Python or ABAP are a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate findings clearly to business stakeholders.
• Background in social science research or similar business analysis experience is strongly preferred.
