Job summary

Sligo Software Solutions Inc. seeks an experienced data analytics professional to perform data management, analytics, and design/documentation for COVID data dashboards and public distribution.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, a relevant bachelor's degree, and strong skills in Python, SQL, and both relational and NoSQL databases. Onsite in Menands, NY; relocation considered as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, MIS or equivalent from an accredited institution; a degree copy must be submitted.
• 10+ years of experience with development in medium to large-scale technical projects and documented deliverables.
• 6+ years experience with data analytics including processing, reporting, transformation, and visualization.

Responsibilities

• Write and execute unit test plans, resolve defects, and provide customer technical support.

Description

Provide data analysis and management for various COVID Data Dashboard and distribution of COVID data to external entities and the public.

Duties

• The contractor will also perform data management and analytic tasks including researching and documenting technical designs, programming solutions, writing and executing unit test plans, researching, resolving, and testing defects, customer technical support, and close collaboration with other team members.

Requirements

• This is an 100% Onsite
• This position requires at least a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent from an accredited institution. A copy of the degree must be submitted with the Candidate Proposal Response.
• 6 year's experience with development in medium to large-scale technical projects and assuring deliverables and project scope are met and well documented.
• 6 year's experience with data analytics including processing, reporting, transformation, visualization.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 year's experience with Python based data analytics projects.
• 6 year's experience with relational and NoSQL databases (like Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc) containing large amounts of data (greater than 10 million rows).
• 6 year's experience with developing and maintaining data processing and ETL pipelines.
• 6 year's experience with developing cloud native and hybrid applications using serverless platforms.
• 6 year's experience in designing and implementing data visualizations with large datasets (1 million+ records) on analytics platforms such as Tableau.
