Job summary

LinQ Global Group is seeking a Data Analyst for a 12‑month contract based in Boston, MA (onsite). You will perform epidemiologic analyses on healthcare utilization, capacity, and workforce data to inform health system planning and decision-making.

Responsibilities include SAS/SQL data linkage, dashboard and GIS visualizations with Tableau/Power BI/ArcGIS, and contributing to real-time surveillance through ACORN data quality reviews and reporting to leadership.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, Health Informatics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience with SAS and SQL.
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, and/or ArcGIS.
• Knowledge of public health surveillance, healthcare data systems, and epidemiologic methods.
• Strong communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform epidemiologic surveillance and analysis of healthcare utilization, capacity, workforce, and service delivery data.
• Monitor syndromic surveillance and near real-time data sources to detect emerging trends in health system demand and delivery.
• Link, clean, and analyze multiple state and federal datasets using SAS, SQL, Snowflake or similar tools.
• Create dashboards, maps, and other visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, ArcGIS, and related software.
• Support facility onboarding to ACORN, including technical assistance and data quality review for real-time capacity submissions.
• Evaluate surveillance systems and recommend improvements to data quality, validity, and timeliness.
• Contribute to emergency preparedness planning, situational awareness, and public health response activities.
• Produce reports, data briefs, presentations, and policy recommendations for agency leadership and partners.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve health system planning and resilience.

LinQ Global Group is hiring a Data Analyst for a contract role based in Boston, MA 02108 (onsite). In this position, you will help support health system planning, emergency preparedness, and public health surveillance through epidemiologic analysis, dataset integration, and clear reporting for decision-makers.

The work focuses on turning healthcare and public health data into actionable recommendations, including near real-time monitoring, dashboard and GIS visualization, and ongoing evaluation of surveillance system performance and data quality.

What you’ll do
