Job summary

CGI Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Analyst to support insight delivery in an agile, onsite role based in Arlington, VA. You will handle large datasets, modern analytics tools, and ensure the required Secret clearance is maintained throughout the project.

You will analyze data in cloud environments, build reliable datasets for reporting, and create dashboards and visualizations for business and technical stakeholders. Strong SQL, Power BI, and Python/R experience are valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
24 years of experience in data analysis, BI development, and reporting.
An interim Secret clearance is required to begin working onsite in Arlington, VA, and a Secret clearance must be maintained throughout the project duration.
Proficiency in SQL for analytics and data querying.
2+ years of experience working on Analytics and Business Intelligence focused initiatives.
2+ years of experience working with self-service BI tools, specifically Power BI.
Understanding of modern UI style frameworks and design systems to ensure consistency and usability in analytics solutions.
Familiarity with SQL analytics or notebook-based analysis.
1+ years of experience using Python or R to build statistical models or analyze data within a distributed computing environment.

Responsibilities

Analyze, profile, and validate datasets stored in cloud environments to support reporting, dashboarding, and analytical use cases.
Use Databricks and Azure Synapse Analytics to prepare, transform, and curate datasets for downstream analytics and self-service BI.
Develop dashboards and visualizations using leading BI tools to support decision-making across business and technical stakeholders.
Partner with clients to understand analytical needs, document business requirements, and translate them into data solutions.
Write optimized SQL queries and analytical logic across Databricks SQL, Synapse SQL, and cloud databases.
Perform data validation, testing, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of delivered insights.
Work closely with data engineers to align analytic datasets with data models, ingestion pipelines, and data governance structures.
Create and maintain documentation for datasets, business rules, KPIs, and reporting processes.
