Altair Data Resources, Inc. is seeking a Data Analyst in Brentwood, TN for an on-site role focused on data extraction and analysis using Python, SQL, and ETL workflows. You will develop data pipelines, validate outputs, and ensure data security in a high-growth environment.

You will build dashboards and automate processes with AI-assisted tools, collaborating with management to meet deadlines and deliver accurate datasets for clients.

Qualifications

2+ years of professional experience in data analysis, data processing, ETL development, or related role.
Practical experience using Python for data cleaning, transformation, and automation (pandas preferred).
Strong working knowledge of SQL, including joins, filters, aggregations, and multi-table queries.
Experience developing or maintaining ETL workflows and working with relational databases, structured data files, and data quality controls.
Ability to troubleshoot processing failures, investigate data discrepancies, and implement dependable solutions.
Familiarity with Excel and reporting/visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI (Alteryx a plus).
Interest in leveraging AI-assisted tools to support coding, data analysis, and process improvement, with ability to evaluate outputs.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain ETL workflows that combine data from multiple sources and prepare datasets for analysis or client delivery.
Acquire data from primary and secondary sources and maintain databases and data processing systems.
Interpret data using statistical techniques, identifying trends in complex datasets.
Document workflows, business rules, and quality control procedures for reliable processing.
Partner with management and internal teams to understand requirements and deliver within timelines.
Identify ways to automate manual processes and improve data quality and efficiency.
Use company-approved AI tools for coding, troubleshooting, documentation, and process improvement, validating outputs and following data security requirements.

Altair Data Resources, Inc. is hiring a Data Analyst in Brentwood, TN with an onsite setup. In this role, you’ll help clients prepare, understand, and extract value from their data in an entrepreneurial, high-growth environment, with a strong focus on Python, SQL, and ETL workflows.

This position supports analysis, dataset creation, and reliable data processing. You’ll also use company-approved AI-assisted tools to improve productivity and automation, while validating outputs and adhering to data security and confidentiality requirements.

What you’ll do

What you’ll need

At least 2 years of professional experience in data analysis, data processing, ETL development, or a related role.
Practical experience using Python for data cleaning, transformation, and automation (experience with libraries such as pandas is preferred).
Strong working knowledge of SQL, including joins, filters, aggregations, and multi-table queries.
Experience developing or maintaining ETL workflows and working with relational databases, structured data files, and data quality controls.
Ability to troubleshoot processing failures, investigate data discrepancies, and implement dependable solutions.
Familiarity with Excel and reporting or visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI (Alteryx experience is a plus).
Interest in leveraging AI-assisted tools to support coding, data analysis, and process improvement, with the ability to evaluate outputs for accuracy and use tools responsibly.
Strong analytical and organizational skills, basic knowledge of statistics, and attention to detail when working with large datasets.
Ability to manage assigned work independently, document processes, explain findings, and collaborate with technical and business teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
