Job summary

PlanIT Group is seeking a data-focused engineer to develop, inspect, and optimize data pipelines and models in an engineering environment.

The role requires production-grade Python scripting, AWS services, SQL, and data visualization with Tableau, plus Databricks experience. You will collaborate across teams to deliver reliable analytics, dashboards, and API integrations in a hybrid on-site/remote setting.

Qualifications

Job description

Arlington, TX On-Site Flexibility/Remote:

Develops, inspects, mines, transforms, and models data to raise productivity, improve decision making, and gain competitive advantage in an engineering setting. Conducts statistical analysis on data and information to ensure correct predictive forecasting or classification. Manages all aspects of end-to-end data processing utilizing customized report building functions of systems. Maintains analytical systems, verifies the accuracy of the data, and acts as liaison with business. Works with technical developers and data scientists to define business outcomes and govern capabilities. Assist with status reports for leadership reviews. Assist in developing mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with the project manager, suppliers and the internal customer. Manage and track supplier task completion, provide system access based on training completion, support team efforts to ensure security levels are completed and accurate. Knowledge of the supply chain management systems landscape and sourcing process a significant plus. The most desired skill sets include the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, build consensus, shape/influence opinion and articulate the future state.

Basic Required Qualifications:

• Python (3.10+) - production-level scripting, not just notebooks; comfortable building deterministic pipelines (ETL, linking logic, data validation)
• AWS core services - S3, Lambda, boto3.
• Data Cleaning and Data Integration -turning unstructured documents into clean
• Data modeling for entity linking - experience designing keys/joins across datasets
• SQL
