Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Data Analyst to unlock insights from large datasets, leveraging IoT, ML, and AI concepts to support national and public sector missions. You will collect, analyze, and visualize data, applying SQL, Python, and R to develop actionable recommendations for stakeholders at various leadership levels.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience implementing good data principles, including data cleaning, preprocessing, and analysis to identify insights and trends.
• Experience leveraging R or Python for data transformations
• Experience using Palantir Foundry or Maven Smart Systems to construct pipelines, ontologies, or workshops
• Experience using Microsoft tools such as Excel, Power Apps, Power Automate, or SharePoint
• Experience communicating data insights in both written and verbal forms
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines at the same time
• TS/SCI clearance
• HS diploma or GED

Data Analyst

The Opportunity

As a data scientist, you're excited at the prospect of unlocking the secrets held by a data set, and you're fascinated by the possibilities presented by IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. In an increasingly connected world, massive amounts of structured and unstructured data open new opportunities. As a data scientist at Booz Allen, you can help turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges. Across private and public sectors—from fraud detection to cancer research to national intelligence, we need you to help find the answers in the data.

You will serve as part of the Booz Allen Team that supports assessing modernizing and future military capabilities across Combatant Commands. Identify and collect data sources, analyze and extract key data and information, and evaluate and monitor data quality to meet client's needs. You will research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions through the collection, analysis, and visualization of multiple data sets. You will apply data cleansing skills and data analytics experience by simplifying technical requirements and trends, based on the audience. You will assist and participate in data validation and cleaning to ensure the quality and integrity of the data. You will present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of databases, scripting languages such as SQL, Python, R, and Microsoft Office. You will establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes. You will produce data visualization through different tools such as Tableau, Qlik, and Power BI, documenting the processes used to produce visuals. You will also participate in various program meetings, collaborate with stakeholders, develop documents and briefs, present results and communicate effectively with Joint Force leaders at the GS-15 and O-6 level and above.

You Have

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
