Requirements

1. Minimum Candidate Qualifications:

The candidate must have a minimum of:

• 5 years of experience in data analytics
• Proof of eligibility to work in NYS.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, data management, data governance, data science, data privacy, information systems, management systems, information technology, cybersecurity, computational sciences, statistics, mathematics or risk management.
• 1 year of experience in the financial services industry, cybersecurity and/or data privacy.

2. Job Description and Required Services:

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Analyze and understand business requirements to design effective data models.
• Use business intelligence software such as Tableau and Microsoft Power BI to create dashboards and visualize data.
• Compile and analyze data and prepare periodic reports as per requirements detailed in project documentation and official Client policies.
• Use technical expertise to automate manual processes and reporting.
• Work with complex data sets to understand problems and recommend procedures while using various analytical and statistical approaches. Respond to ad hoc requests for data, aggregations, and visualizations.
• Conduct research and analysis of data at Client, definitions and usage, system flows, challenges, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with business users and business analysts to develop analytical strategies for implementation in various projects.
• Develop documentation including data dictionaries, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with identification, documentation and management of any data quality, integrity and availability issues.
• Other duties as assigned.

In addition, the candidate must possess the following abilities:

• Develop metrics and reports.
• Data analysis.
• Data governance.
• High-level competency in Excel (e.g., advanced formulas, macros, etc.).
• Expertise in relational database management systems, SQL, data modeling.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements to technical specifications for IT.
• Highly motivated and effective working autonomously and as part of cross-functional teams.
• Ability to multi-task across projects while maintaining a high-quality work product.
