Job summary

The World Bank Group in Washington, DC is seeking an Associate Information Management Officer to lead governance of data, information and AI assets. This role partners with IT, risk and business teams to translate policy into practical controls and stewardships across the organization.

You will contribute to enterprise governance frameworks, support lifecycle management and coordinate decision-making with senior bodies, delivering improvements in data quality, access and responsible AI.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in information management or related field with 5+ years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 7+ years.
• Expertise in developing data, information and AI policies, standards and governance frameworks.
• Experience implementing governance with defined roles, processes, and controls.
• Strong knowledge of AI and data management disciplines: ownership, metadata, quality, retention and disposition.
• Proven ability to work with senior governance bodies and diverse stakeholders to build consensus.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Familiarity with standards such as DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM, ISO 38505/8000/15489, ISO 27001/27701; NIST RMF.
• Professional certifications such as CDMP, DCAM, CIP, CRM, AIGP, AIIM, PECB ISO/IEC 42001 are desirable.
• SAFe Agilist certification or similar is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to enterprise data, information and AI governance policies, translating needs into actionable requirements.
• Develop controls, roles and responsibilities, decision rights, workflows and adoption measures.
• Support governance bodies by preparing decision-ready materials and coordinating follow-up actions.
• Build trusted relationships across business and technology teams to resolve governance issues.
• Support data & information lifecycle management including capture, access, retention and disposition.
• Develop governance plans for ownership, inventories, taxonomies and controlled vocabularies.
• Coordinate remediation and continuous improvement by monitoring adoption and risks.
