Job summary

The World Bank Group seeks an Associate Senior Information Management Officer to lead the design and implementation of a comprehensive data, information and AI governance framework. This role emphasizes governance integration, quality, accountability and regulatory compliance across enterprise platforms.

You will work with senior stakeholders to translate strategy into actionable governance practices, fostering responsible AI and ensuring audit readiness while embedding governance in pipelines

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in information management, information science, data governance or related field.
• Eight+ years of relevant professional experience (Master’s), or ten+ years with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Proven ability to develop governance policies, standards, procedures and frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of governance across ownership, stewardship, metadata, quality and AI ethics.

Responsibilities

• Shape enterprise data, information and AI governance policies, standards and guidance.
• Ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements while enabling responsible innovation.
• Develop and implement governance controls, roles, responsibilities and decision rights.
• Coordinate governance bodies and drive actions across workstreams.
• Embed governance into platforms and delivery processes for datapipelines and AI workflows.
• Build external partnerships and align governance with enterprise standards.
