Job summary

ZEDVentures Incorporated seeks a Data & AI Architect to lead end-to-end technical direction for the SDS platform. The role is hybrid with options to work in Columbus or Washington, DC, and requires 8+ years in data engineering or architecture.

Responsibilities include delivering AI-enabled knowledge core solutions, guiding data ingestion, modeling, and governance while partnering across engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8 years of progressive experience in data engineering, data architecture, or solutions architecture roles
• Hands-on Snowflake experience in production — External Tables, Dynamic Tables, Cortex Analyst, and Open Catalog strongly preferred
• Experience designing and operating Apache Iceberg-based lake houses on S3 in a production environment
• Experience with enterprise ingestion and orchestration tools — Talend, Airflow, or equivalent — at scale
• Proficiency with dbt for transformation layer design and Gold layer data product delivery
• Familiarity with AI/knowledge layer technologies: Amazon Neptune, RDF/graph patterns, OWL/SKOS ontology design, or Graph RAG architectures
• Strong Python and SQL skills with a Git-based, code-first development workflow
• Proven ability to communicate technical architecture to non-technical executive and business stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with Snowflake Cortex, semantic/metric layers, or NL->SQL tooling is a strong differentiator

Position Summary

The Data & AI Solutions Architect is the client's senior technical authority for the Society Data Store (SDS) platform and its AI capabilities. The Architect is responsible for the end-to-end technical direction of the SDS --- from ingestion and the Bronze/Silver/Gold medallion layers through the AI-ready knowledge core --- and translates CLIENT's data strategy into scalable, governed, and AI-enabled solutions. This is a hands-on, delivery-oriented role that partners closely with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders across CLIENT.
