Communication Technology Services, CTS, www.cts1.com, is one of the largest integrators and managed service providers for mobile networks in the U.S. The company specializes in the design, installation, and support of Distributed Antenna System (DAS), Small Cell, and 4G/5G Private Wireless Networks for mobile network operators, enterprise and venue owners, and network infrastructure owners.

We are open to ENTRY LEVEL candidates and will provide on-the-job training or Technician II or Technician III level with some DAS experience. Pay will be commensurate with experience. The ideal candidate will be based in the South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina. 100% of Regional Travel is a requirement of the position.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Technician position will be working on the install of the DAS system in the field. Entry-level candidates require learning/training to become knowledgeable in the processes and techniques to complete the construction and testing of systems to meet CTS standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Follow the direction of Field Manager/Lead Tech.
  2. Be part of the install team stringing coax and fiber cable.
  3. Install antennas and equipment as directed.
  4. Transport materials.
  5. Attend apprentice classes (where applicable).
  6. Occasionally conduct site walk data collection for small venues, retail stores.
  7. Document site walks for use in the bidding process.
  8. Be competent at pulling both coax and fiber.
  9. Be proficient at coax cable termination.
  10. Have familiarity with fusion splicing and fiber optic testing practices.
  11. Possess basic computer skills.
  12. Have a basic understanding of cable sweep test equipment and processes.
  13. Understand frequency bands, protocols, and terminology.
  14. Be competent at collecting information for the closeout package.

Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. Must pass a background check.
  3. Physical ability to carry tools, materials, & ladders; climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs as needed, and perform daily required tasks.

Pay rate of $20-30 hourly commensurate with experience.
