We are open to ENTRY LEVEL candidates and will provide on-the-job training, or consider Technician II or Technician III levels with some DAS experience. Pay will be commensurate with experience. 100% regional travel is required for this position.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Technician will work on the installation of DAS systems in the field. Entry-level candidates will require training to become proficient in the processes and techniques needed to complete construction and testing of systems to meet CTS standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow the direction of the Field Manager/Lead Tech.
  • Assist in installing coax and fiber cable as part of the installation team.
  • Install antennas and equipment as directed.
  • Transport materials to job sites.
  • Pull both coax and fiber cables.
  • Perform coax cable termination.
  • Familiarity with fusion splicing and fiber optic testing practices.
  • Maintain basic computer skills.
  • Understand cable sweep testing equipment and procedures.
  • Understand frequency bands, protocols, and terminology.
  • Gather information for closeout documentation.
  • Assist in leading and directing Technicians and Apprentices during DAS installation.
  • Manage daily installation quality and schedules.
  • Conduct site walks for small venues and document findings for future bidding.
  • Accept direction and work independently when needed.
  • Perform PIM and sweep testing on coax and fiber cables.
  • Operate and understand functions of test equipment like the Anritsu Site Master.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Physical ability to carry tools, materials, ladders; climb ladders; lift up to 50 lbs; and perform daily tasks.

Pay Scale: $20-$30/hr based on experience.
