Job description

This is a hands-on role implementing wireless infrastructure for Distributed Antenna Systems, Small Cell networks, WLAN networks and other technologies. The successful candidate will show the capacity to both work independently, as well as serve as a coach and mentor to other team members. Quality execution in this current role, as well as the capacity to grow with the company and take on increasing levels of management and responsibility are both valued in this position.

Job Functions:

  • Responsible for installing new cabling in new or existing buildings.
  • Termination and testing of new cabling.
  • IDF and MDF buildouts to include assembling and installing racks, ladder rack, cable tray, etc.

Professional Skills:

  • Knowledge in structured cabling and other advanced cable technologies.
  • Communicates effectively and appropriately when dealing with customers and/or personnel at levels up to President.
  • Demonstrates the initiative and creativity for self-development within and outside of the company.
  • Must work well with little supervision individually and in a team environment.
  • Must be knowledgeable or willing to learn various wiring configurations and terminations.
  • Technical skills and knowledge of telecommunications industry and/or installation a plus

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing duties of the job, Technicians will frequently be required to stand; walk; sit; bend; stoop; kneel; climb; pull; push; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. They will also frequently be required to lift a minimum of 75 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment usually moderate but can become heavy or high depending on the equipment being used at the particular work site. Calculate figures and amounts. Climb and work on ladders at varying heights. Ability to distinguish colors. Operate scissor and/or boom lifts.

Must be able to pass a background check.

A clean driving record is required, and candidate must provide a MV record report upon offer of employment

Being able to travel for work is a requirement
