Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a DAS Service Technician to join a system integrator in the Washington, DC or Baltimore, MD area. The role requires advanced knowledge of RF principles, DAS architecture and signal distribution, and lead troubleshooting of complex DAS incidents.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field and extensive DAS/RF/wireless experience; certifications in RF/DAS or fiber optics are desirable. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Extensive DAS, RF, wireless or telecommunications service experience.
• Advanced understanding of fiber, coaxial, RF and network-connected system components.
• Experience with advanced RF testing, system analysis and fault isolation.
• Certifications relating to RF, DAS, fiber optics or wireless infrastructure are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of RF principles, DAS architecture and signal distribution
• Leads troubleshooting of complex or critical DAS incidents involving multiple system components or technologies
• Performs advanced fault isolation across head-end equipment, RF source equipment, remote units, fiber distribution, passive infrastructure, antennas and supporting network components
• Performs advanced RF testing and interprets measurements relating to signal strength, gain, noise, interference, uplink and downlink performance
• Uses spectrum analyzers, cable and antenna analyzers, PIM test equipment, fiber test equipment and other advanced diagnostic tools where required

• Leads troubleshooting of complex or critical DAS incidents involving multiple system components or technologies

• $120,000 - $140,000 (based on experience)
