Vision Technologies is seeking a DAS Service Technician to troubleshoot, service, and maintain Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) supporting in-building cellular and public safety radio coverage.

This position combines hands-on field service with remote monitoring and diagnostics. Working with Vision’s service team and Vision Command Center, you will investigate system alarms, identify issues, and restore reliable communications for customers throughout the region.

We welcome experienced technicians as well as developing professionals with a strong foundation in radio frequency (RF) concepts, technical problem-solving skills, and the ability to learn. Responsibilities and independence will align with demonstrated experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, service, and maintain commercial cellular DAS and public safety radio systems, including bidirectional amplifiers (BDAs) and associated equipment.
  • Review system alarms and monitoring alerts to assess issues and determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Perform remote diagnostics to resolve problems when possible and prepare for onsite service when required.
  • Travel regularly to customer locations throughout Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Greater Baltimore.
  • Investigate coverage concerns, equipment faults, and system performance issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
  • Read system drawings, equipment documentation, and available iBwave designs to support troubleshooting and field work.
  • Coordinate with the Vision Command Center, internal technical teams, and manufacturers to resolve service issues.
  • Verify system operation following repairs and document findings, corrective actions, and follow-up recommendations.
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding service status, findings, and next steps.
  • Provide coverage and technical support for customers with dedicated onsite service arrangements.
  • Support system testing and commissioning activities as experience and project needs require.
  • Follow applicable safety procedures, customer site requirements, and technical standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Relevant experience installing, servicing, troubleshooting, or supporting DAS, BDA, RF, or related wireless communications systems; candidates with strong technical education and foundational RF knowledge will also be considered.
  • Understanding of RF fundamentals and the purpose of in-building cellular and public safety coverage systems.
  • Ability to approach technical problems methodically, interpret available information, and identify appropriate next steps.
  • Ability to explain technical findings clearly to customers and internal team members.
  • Strong organization, documentation, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to work independently within your skill level and collaborate with others when escalation or additional support is needed.
  • Availability for frequent field service visits throughout the assigned region.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience with commercial cellular DAS and public safety BDA systems.
  • Experience supporting equipment from multiple DAS/BDA manufacturers.
  • Current manufacturer training or certifications.
  • Experience with remote monitoring platforms, alarm investigation, and remote diagnostics.
  • Ability to read and interpret iBwave designs.
  • Experience using spectrum analyzers and other RF testing equipment.
  • Experience with system commissioning, performance verification, and service documentation.
  • Familiarity with public safety radio coverage requirements and associated inspection or acceptance processes.
  • Experience supporting DAS systems in commercial or government facilities.

This role includes a combination of customer-site field work, remote system diagnostics, and office-based technical support. Regular travel within the Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Greater Baltimore region is a core responsibility. The position is well suited to someone who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, customer interaction, and working across different sites and systems.
