Job summary

HCI Systems Inc. seeks Installers, Technicians and Foremen experienced with Public Safety DAS, ERRCS/ERCES infrastructure, and RF sweep testing for on-site deployments in California.

Ideal candidates will handle installation, commissioning and coordination with Project Managers to complete projects on time and within budget. Flexible proficiency with Spectrum Analyzer, CW, and PCTEL equipment is a plus, along with the ability to read blueprints and interface with multiple trades.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in installing coax cables and connector terminations.
• Proficiency in installing fiber; fusion splicing and fiber optic equipment a plus.
• Valid California driver's license with clean driving record.
• Background and driving record checks are required.
• Proficiency in industry-related equipment including MS Office.
• Excellent communication skills; tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
• Skilled with automatic and hand tools for infrastructure applications.
• Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
• Company vehicles available for senior technicians at PM's discretion.
• Ability to work in challenging positions (ladder, scaffold, up to 60 ft).
• Capable of heavy lifting up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install Public Safety DAS in facilities such as Public Storage, hotels, and multi-family buildings.
• Foreman to layout and direct HCI installers on site and coordinate with Project Manager.
• Technician to install DAS infrastructure and perform RF sweep testing; experience with independent support systems is a plus.
• Execute installation project plan, manage equipment delivery, staging, and material orders; interface with other trades.
• Resolve field problems through research of alternatives.
• Report status to DAS PM and discuss jurisdiction requirements and wiring methods.
• Communicate with contractors and building owners effectively.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and manuals.
• Identify out-of-scope requests and notify DAS PM for authorization.
• Suggest efficient installation solutions and catch plan mistakes.
• Ensure project status communication to DAS PM.
• Complete required company paperwork.
• NICET, manufacturer certification, and FCC license are advantageous.
