FedEx in Anchorage, AK, is hiring for a role handling dangerous goods. You will ensure safe and legal handling, proper separation, palletizing and loading for aircraft and trucks, with accurate and timely dangerous goods paperwork.

The position requires a High School Diploma/GED, and prefers six months of related experience. You must read manuals and regulations, complete DG training, and be able to lift and move heavy packages with assistive devices.

Competenze

Knowledge of shipping or processing dangerous goods packages.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with equipment/assistance.
Complete all basic and re-currency training for Dangerous Goods.
If required, perform spill clean-up function and complete spill-cleanup training.
Read and understand manuals, regulations, charts and tables; communicate verbally in a time-sensitive, noisy environment.
Current DG certification preferred.
Experience with computer systems (mainframe/PC/intranet) preferred.

Mansioni

Ensures safe and legal handling of dangerous goods including separation, palletizing and loading.
Ensures related dangerous goods paperwork is accurate, complete, and timely, including distribution to all necessary parties.
Performs other duties as assigned.
