Job summary

University of Utah in Salt Lake City invites applications for a part-time Videographer (Work Study) to support video documentation and live-streaming for School of Dance performances at the Marriott Center for Dance. You will work evenings, nights and weekends as scheduled by the AV Room Manager, gaining hands-on experience in a live theatrical environment.

The role requires basic camera operation knowledge, the ability to follow direction, and reliability for rehearsals and shows.

Qualifications

• This job posting is only available to University of Utah students who have been awarded a Federal Work-Study Award for the current year.
• Prior experience with videography and/or stagecraft is preferred.
• Must be able to lift or pull at least 50 lbs and move heavy camera equipment safely.
• Must be able to attend all technical rehearsals and performances without fail or tardiness.

Responsibilities

• Works with the AV Room Manager, Technical Director, Production Director, and Stage Manager at the Marriott Center for Dance to work on video documentation and live-streaming during School of Dance performances.
• Varies per directions of the AV Room Manager; multitasking and quick thinking are essential.
