The Chronicle of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking a part-time videographer to support the School of Dance at the Marriott Center for Dance. You will assist with video documentation and live streaming during performances, coordinating with the AV team and stage management.

Must understand live performance workflows, maintain composure under pressure, and attend technical rehearsals. Opportunities to expand into other stage areas such as lighting and sound may arise.

School of Dance - Videographer

Job Summary

Works with the AV Room Manager, Technical Director, ProductionDirector, and Stage Manager at the Marriott Center for Dance towork on video documentation and live-streaming during School ofDance performances.

Must have a basic knowledge of live theatrical performanceresponsibilities and organization structure including a basicunderstanding of camera operation. Must take direction well and beable to perform under pressure during a live performance setting.Must be able to attend all technical rehearsals and performanceswithout fail or tardiness.

The crew position is continually changing so the applicant must beable to multitask and think ahead while receiving new informationabout actions that need to be taken. There may be opportunities inthis position to work in other areas of the stage including livesound, lighting, projections, and other crew needs.

Must be able to lift or pull at least 50 lbs. and be able to moveheavy camera equipment and its peripherals safely and withcare.

Responsibilities

Varies per directions of the AV Room Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferences

Prior experience with videography and/or stagecraft.
