Job summary

UNC Greensboro seeks a Dance Technical Coordinator for a full‑time, 9‑month appointment to oversee all production aspects for the School of Dance. The ideal candidate will design lighting for faculty and student works and teach undergrad and graduate Dance Production courses, while coordinating undergraduate student stage‑crew practicums.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining lighting and sound systems, managing equipment budgets, and ensuring safety standards across productions.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience instructing post-secondary students in production or related programs.
• Experience with production organization, scheduling, and multi-project prioritization.
• Experience operating and maintaining stage lighting and sound systems.
• Experience with safety protocols for production environments.

Responsibilities

• Instructing undergraduate and graduate Dance Production courses and supervising student practics.
• Design lighting for Dance productions using Vectorworks, Spotlight, Microlux or equivalents.
• Manage production equipment purchases, budgets, and safety compliance for the School of Dance.
• Oversee sound setups and configurations for performances.
• Support events and collaborations scheduled in the Dance Theatre.
