Job summary

Clayton Valley Dance Academy in Concord, CA is seeking a passionate Dance Teacher to inspire students of all ages and skill levels. You will plan and deliver engaging instruction across multiple styles, from ballet to hip-hop, in a positive, structured setting.

Ideal candidates have experience teaching and a love for student development, with a professional, reliable demeanor and willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid if needed. Classes run Monday and Tuesday evenings 3:30pm–8:30pm.

Qualifications

• Prior experience teaching dance in a studio, school, or recreational setting.
• Proficiency in one or more dance styles (ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, etc).
• Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
• Ability to work with children and teens of all experience levels.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Passion for dance education and student development.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging dance instruction across styles such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, or contemporary.
• Teach students of varying ages and skill levels in a positive, structured class environment.
• Develop age-appropriate choreography for recitals, showcases, and performances.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support growth.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom atmosphere.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and studio staff.
• Assist with studio events, recitals, and special performances as needed.
