Job summary

Togetherhood in Washington DC is building a network of educators pairing dance instructors with K-12 schools and community programs for after-school enrichment.

As a contracted dance instructor (Ballet, Hip Hop, Zumba, or general dance), you will develop age-appropriate curricula, lead weekly in-person classes, create engaging, inclusive learning spaces, and provide constructive feedback to students. This is paid per class as a flexible, supplemental 1099 role.

Qualifications

• Instructor with subject matter expertise in Dance (Ballet, Hip Hop, Zumba, etc).
• Ability to design engaging, age-appropriate after-school activities.
• Passion for working with diverse student groups and fostering inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Develop age-appropriate dance curricula for after-school programs.
• Lead weekly in-person classes with energy and expertise.
• Create a structured, inclusive classroom environment.
• Track student progress and provide supportive feedback.
• Arrive prepared, on time, and ready to teach.
