Job summary

Beckman Coulter Diagnostics in Minnesota seeks an experienced Operations leader to drive DBS-based continuous improvement in the Hardware Operations Plant. You will coach teams, collect Gemba evidence, and deliver KPI improvements through Kaizen and data-driven actions.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of experience (or higher degrees with related experience), 4+ years in Lean Manufacturing/Operations, and the ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree with substantial experience in Lean Manufacturing or Operations.
• 4+ years of Lean Manufacturing/Operations leadership is required.
• Ability to coach teams across levels and drive DBS initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead DBS-driven continuous improvement projects to improve KPI performance.
• Collaborate across functions, coach teams, and mentor peers on DBS tools.
• Gather Gemba evidence, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Set ambitious personal and team goals aligned with DBS capability targets.
• Engage as CP for DBS tools and drive behavior change to increase impact.

The annual salary range for this role is $125,000 - $150,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees. In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Apply DBS to drive transformative change to improve KPI’s in the Hardware Operations Plant, actively participate in DM to take action and solve problems, coach and mentor work teams to build sustainable processes that deliver on KPI’s
• Apply DBS to collaborate with others, asking for feedback and reacting constructively; take initiative and accountability for corrective measures
• Collect Gemba evidence and participate actively in Kaizen. Lead others in getting to root cause at Gemba.
• Sets and delivers on goals for self that are challenging and aspirational within the scope of available resources to support growth and DBS capability targets.
• Include DBS in D4G and engage as CP for DBS tool. Mentor peers and modify behavior based on feedback to enhance impact.

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

• Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 7+ years of experience, or Doctoral degree with 5+ years of experience
• 4+ years of experience in Lean Manufacturing or Operations is required. Ideal candidate will have a strong Manufacturing/Operations leadership background who is interested in stepping into a continuous improvement (DBS) focused role for a few years to deepen their DBS expertise, build new capabilities, and then leverage that experience to move into a broader, senior-level Operations leadership role within the organization
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor associates and teams of various levels, from production associates to Sr. Leadership roles
• Displays a positive attitude in the face of difficult or challenging situations. Provides an uplifting (yet realistic) outlook on what the future holds and the opportunities it might present.
• Can effectively shift approach when situation changes and make decisions without having the total picture or being given clear direction

Travel Requirements

• Ability to travel to other Danaher Operating Companies for own development and to drive continuous improvement at other locations - up to 10% travel

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Achieved CP in applicable DBS tools (SW, 5S, VRK, QSB, TPI, PSP, VSM)
