Sunrise Engineering is seeking a full-time Damage Prevention Specialist to join our Inspection group in Las Vegas, Nevada. You will protect underground utility infrastructure through field investigations, risk management, line locate verification, and education, collaborating with operators, contractors, and stakeholders to reduce damages and improve safety.

Responsibilities include documenting observations, ensuring One-Call compliance, and preparing reports for clients and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

• Experience in utility operations or damage prevention is preferred.
• Familiarity with 811 One-Call processes and excavation safety.

Responsibilities

• Identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform line locate verification and QA audits of locate markings.
• Document observations and actions using GIS tools.
• Support damage prevention initiatives for utility clients.

• Represent the company at industry meetings and NRCGA activities.

Improving Safety.Position SummaryThe Damage Prevention Specialist plays a critical role in protecting underground utility infrastructure through field investigations, risk management, line locate verification, damage prevention education, and field reporting. This position works closely with utility operators, contractors, excavators, and industry stakeholders to reduce utility damages, improve excavation safety, and support regulatory compliance efforts.
