Job Summary
The Damage Prevention Coordinator (DPC) will work remotely with internal and external partners within
field operations providing facility protection support as well as review and release Ziply Fiber facility
locates. In addition, the DPC position will provide administrative duties and support as outlined to ensure
all necessary information is obtained, filed, and reported on pertaining to Ziply plant facility protection.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities listed below are a range of duties performed by the employee
and are not intended to reflect all duties performed.
• Screen and process locate tickets received from state 811 One-Call centers by using third party
software and electronic mapping.
• Review of internal facility records and as-built drawings pertaining to locate request.
• Forward and dispatch tickets requiring facility locates to contract locators’ companies or company
employees after tickets have been screened.
• Work with company employees, One-Call Centers, excavators, and contract locators to ensure
that Ziply Fiber facilities are protected from damage.
• Work with Ziply Plant Damage Team and collection agencies to recover the cost to repair
damages.
• Resolve customer complaints or issues with dig tickets or facility damages.
• Update computer system with current information in a timely manner.
• Perform dispatching duties essential to protecting facilities and meeting regulatory guidelines.
• Manage inbound and outbound customer calls in a timely manner.
• Must be available to work regular business hours - Pacific Standard Time.
• Performs other duties as required to support the business and the evolving organization.
Qualifications:
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent four years’ experience with three years direct
experience required.
• College hours or a college degree may be substituted for some experience as deemed
appropriate.
• Ability to deal with public in a professional manner.
• Prior experience in Call Center or dispatch environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to use electronic maps and to follow written directions to dig sites.
• Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment and reasoning skills to a variety of
situations.
• Ability to multi-task and collaborate effectively with other personnel to meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work within critical deadlines.
• Ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities and schedules.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to remain professional at all times.

Work Environment and Additional Information:
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a
computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work is primarily a modern office
setting.
