Job summary

The Federal agency is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of about 9 permanent and temporary staff responsible for the operation and maintenance of flood control and navigation dam facilities.

You will plan daily to monthly work, assign tasks, ensure safety, and maintain production records while supervising electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry and welding tasks. Some weekend or night work may be required.

Qualifications

• Supervising a maintenance team and directing daily operations.
• Experience maintaining dam facilities and equipment.
• Developing schedules, workloads and performance plans.
• Ensuring safety practices and regulatory compliance.
• Preparing production reports and staff evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance staff of about 9 people.
• Oversee dam operation and maintenance tasks.
• Compute flood releases and inspect structures.
• Assist with annual dam inspections.
• Maintain park facilities including restrooms and roads.
• Plan daily, weekly, monthly work schedules.
• Explain work requirements and train staff.
• Uphold safety practices and establish performance standards.
