Freese and Nichols is seeking an experienced CAD Technician or CAD Designer skilled in AutoCAD Civil 3D to contribute to water resources projects. The role involves producing 3D models, drawings, and details for infrastructure projects such as dams, levees, spillways, and other water structures. The candidate will support CAD workload coordination, collaborate with engineers and project managers, and work within the Water Resources Practice.

Responsibilities include interpreting survey data, developing complex 3D surfaces, preparing construction plans, and ensuring adherence to CAD standards. The role may involve leading CAD activities, managing CAD libraries, or supervising CAD staff.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering design and technical support
  • Advanced proficiency in CAD software, especially AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills
  • Effective communication skills with all personnel levels
  • High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred qualifications include an Associate degree in CAD and familiarity with Revit or MicroStation.
