Job summary

You will assess, diagnose, and manage gastroenterology patients, order and interpret tests, and provide patient education in collaboration with physicians and allied staff.

The role emphasizes care continuity, evidence-based practice, and involvement in quality initiatives within a leading academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing or ARC-PA accredited PA program required.
• Texas BON authorization and prescriptive authority required on hire.
• NCCPA certification (PA-C) or AGACNP/ACNP/FNP with TX BON authorization on hire.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and treats gastroenterology patients and develops treatment plans.
• Collaborates with physicians and health care team to coordinate care.
• Performs advanced procedures as appropriate and documents findings.
• Manages ongoing patient evaluation and adjusts treatment plans.
• Engages in quality improvement initiatives and patient education.
• Maintains compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
