Fortress Investment Group LLC is seeking a Credit Portfolio Accountant in Dallas, TX. The role focuses on maintaining SPV accounting, reviewing transactions bi-weekly, and coordinating monthly reporting with fund administrators and auditors.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance with 2–4 years in accounting, preferably in financial services or hedge funds, and strong Excel skills. CPA is a plus. This position offers a path for growth within a leading investment manager.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
2-4 years of public accounting and/or private accounting.
Experience in the financial industry or hedge funds is preferred.
Familiarity with waterfall models is preferred.
CPA license is a plus.

Responsabilités

Maintain accounting records for various SPVs across the Credit Funds.
Bi-weekly reviews of transactional activity booked by Operations staff.
Coordinate and review of monthly reporting with fund administrator.
Coordinate with auditors on deliverables and assist in preparation of financial statements, footnotes and supporting schedules for audited vehicles.
Prepare financial statements for external reporting.
Assist in enhancement of accounting and reporting procedures.
Assist with various special projects on an ad-hoc basis.
