Job summary

Annaly Capital Management, Inc. seeks a Servicing Accounting Associate to reconcile, review, and oversee subservicers' cash-related activities within the Residential Credit and MSR units.

The role partners with Trading Desk, sub-servicers, and sellers to ensure accurate transfer settlements and reporting. The position requires 3+ years in Investor Reporting/Accounting, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership in Investor Reporting, Investor Accounting or Servicing Accounting.
• Solid reconciliation and research skills with an ability to problem solve and adapt to change.
• Strong MS Excel skills with data connections, index, match, sumproduct, and pivot tables.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a time-sensitive deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Trading Desk, Residential Credit, MSR Oversight, sub-servicers, and sellers to identify, reconcile, and collect cash due to and from counterparties.
• Lead the reconciliation and settlement of servicing transfer balances, including principal and interest, escrow, advances, fees, and suspense balances.
• Review and reconcile escrow disbursements occurring prior to servicing transfer dates to ensure sellers are reimbursed and all cash flows are documented.
• Work with sub-servicers and counterparties to validate transferred balances and resolve discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain reconciliation routines, settlement controls, and exception reporting to validate activity and resolve balances on time.
• Reconcile sub-servicer remittance activity to internal systems and investor reporting platforms (FNMA/FHLMC) and coordinate differences.
• Evaluate systems and workflows to improve transfer settlement accuracy and financial controls.
• Collaborate with Servicing Oversight to support onboarding, transfer readiness, and control assessments.
