Job summary

WovenWorks is seeking a hands-on Prototype Design Specialist to support the development of high-quality physical prototypes, models, and mockups for packaging and product development. This role sits at the intersection of industrial design, modelmaking, fabrication, and prototyping, working closely with designers and project teams to translate design concepts into physical form.

This lab, run by WovenWorks, is situated inside one of the biggest food companies in North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is required.
• 2–5+ years of experience in industrial design, modelmaking, prototyping, or fabrication.
• Strong hands-on fabrication, CAD, and workshop skills.
• Experience with 2D/3D printing and rapid prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Build high-quality physical prototypes, models, and mockups based on design concepts and CAD.
• Operate 2D and 3D printing, rapid prototyping, and fabrication processes.
• Translate design intent into production-ready physical prototypes.
• Collaborate with industrial designers and project teams to develop physical concepts.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient prototyping lab.
