PPG in Dallas, TX is seeking a Lab Technician to formulate and test aerospace sealants and adhesives. You will support product development in a fast-paced team, manage SOP-driven procedures, and ensure data integrity through meticulous recordkeeping.

The role emphasizes lab operations, testing to customer specs, collaboration across departments, and proactive issue resolution while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with wet chemistry.
• Experience with polymer, coatings, sealants, and adhesives.
• US citizen or permanent resident.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with laboratory or production equipment.
• Experience with SOP development, process improvement, training, or workflow coordination.
• Commitment to safety and integrity.
• Team-oriented and collaborative.

Responsabilités

• Provide complex technical laboratory support for development and research activities.
• Understand product specifications, testing requirements, and SOPs for accurate execution.
• Perform formulation, sample preparation, and testing per SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Create reliable data and maintain detailed laboratory records and notebooks.
• Document and present test results, observations, and findings to support goals.
• Present results through written reports and oral presentations to team members and partners.
• Collaborate with lab colleagues and supported departments to ensure project success.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve routine lab and product-related issues.
• Respond to technical inquiries via email, phone, and internal systems.
• Document and track technical issues, test results, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with teams to resolve concerns and support improvements.
• Assist with laboratory operations, equipment maintenance, inventory, and compliance.
• Support user access and system-related activities, including routine account maintenance.
