Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (museum studies, Native American studies, history, education, or cultural resource management)
• Knowledge of Dakota history, culture, traditions, and values is required
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a cultural center, educational institution, tribal government, or related setting
• Collaborative, innovative, and visionary leadership qualities
• 7+ years of leadership experience leading teams, budgets, programs, and strategic initiatives
• Experience overseeing exhibits, collections, educational and cultural programs, and visitor experiences
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Strong public speaking, presentation, and facilitation skills

• Develop and execute a long-term strategic vision for Hocokata Ti that advances Dakota culture and education
• Oversee exhibits, collections, and educational programming with a focus on accessibility and impact
• Build and maintain partnerships with schools, colleges, researchers, and community organizations
• Lead development of innovative cultural, educational, and experiential programming for diverse audiences
• Direct all operational, administrative, and programmatic functions to ensure sustainable operations
• Collaborate on marketing and outreach to enhance visibility and attendance
