Job summary

Lactalis American Group in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Central Planner to manage short- and mid-term capacity, finished goods inventory, and transportation requirements. You will collaborate with plant schedulers, demand and customer service teams to maintain service levels while maximizing production efficiency.

Your responsibilities include analyzing capacity utilization, managing aging and expiry reports, and using FuturMaster to guide inventory planning.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher preferred; bachelor’s degree acceptable with relevant experience.
• 1+ years planning experience; food industry or supply chain experience preferred.
• APICS CPIM certification or equivalent knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and prepare reports on plant capacity utilization.
• Manage safety stock and inventory levels with demand and shelf-life constraints.
• Plan interplant shipments and coordinate with distribution centers.
• Communicate inventory plans with Customer Service and Transportation Planners.
• Lead meetings with cross-functional teams and document action items.
• Ensure production plans are transparent and meet customer service goals.
